Elegant Carrington CufflinksGolden Tartan! |
Elegant Carrington cufflinks with a dramatic pattern of crossing engraved lines. When moving, the cufflinks dance in the light like a golden tartan or plaid. Crafted in 14kt gold, circa 1945.
The backs of the cufflinks are as well crafted as the fronts. Note the sturdy cross bars and gracefully bevelled brackets that secure the links on the cuff. The backs are signed with a later maker's mark of Carrington & Company, a "C" surrounding "14", followed by the "14K" gold purity mark.
Carrington & Company was one of the more inventive makers of fine cufflinks during the years from 1900 to the 1950. Based in Newark, New Jersey, the firm created beautifully crafted gold and platinum cufflinks for the finest jewelers of the day, including Tiffany& Company.
Name: Golden Tartan!
