Gold and Amethyst Cufflinks

Carrington Amethyst

Rich purple amethysts set in yellow gold. Created by Carrington & Company, these regal cufflinks are an elegant accessory well suited for any occasion. Crafted in 14kt gold, circa 1910.

The backs of these cufflinks are as finely crafted as the fronts. Note the solid gold backs which protect the amethysts and the smooth, rounded edges of the bezel settings. Sturdy cross links and loop brackets secure these cufflinks on the cuff.

The maker's mark of Carrington & Company (a squared "C" enclosing "14")

is stamped on the reverse of the cufflinks.

Carrington was a maker of fine cufflinks during the first half of the 20th century. The firm was known for its elegant, understated designs and created cufflinks for Tiffany & Co. and other carriage-trade jewelers of the day.
