Antique Golden Scroll CufflinksCarter Golden Scrolls! |
Richly flowing scrolls and dramatic diagonal bands give these cufflinks a sense of elegance and style. The beveled rectangular shape and ornate scroll work are inspired by English cufflinks of the period. Crafted in 14kt gold, circa 1900.
As with all fine jewels, you should examine the backs of cufflinks closely. Note the maker's attention to detail and the sturdy brackets and cross bars that secure these links to your cuff. The cufflinks are beautifully crafted and finished with a bright polish. These cufflinks were created by the jewelry firm Carter, Gough & Company, makers of fine gold and platinum jewelry during the first decades of the last century. The maker's mark for Carter, Gough is an arrowhead surrounding a small "C". The arrowhead is visible just to the right of the precious metal mark ("14K") on the cross bar of each cufflink.
