Mother of Pearl and Gold CufflinksWhite on White! |
Elegant white-on-white cufflinks with mother-of-pearl centers surrounded by bright scroll borders. A small white pearl is set in the center. Crafted in 14kt white and yellow gold, circa 1920.
These striking cufflinks were created by the jeweler Carter, Gough & Company. Carter, Gough was a maker of fine gold and platinum jewelry during the early decades of the 20th century.
As with all fine jewels, you should examine cufflinks closely from every direction. The backs of these cufflinks are well crafted in 14kt yellow gold. You can see the maker's attention to detail in the sturdy brackets and cross bars that secure the links.
The maker's mark for Carter, Gough is visible on the back of each link and on the cross bars. The mark is an arrowhead surrounding a small "C" and is just to the left of the precious metal mark "W - 14K". Name: White on White! |
