Antique Platinum and Gold CufflinksDurand Platinum and Gold! |
Beautifully designed platinum and gold cufflinks with intricately engraved centers and platinum borders accented with Greek or Chinese key motifs. These elegant cufflinks were created by Durand & Company, circa 1910.
The backs are wonderfully crafted in 14kt yellow gold polished to a bright finish. Note the sturdy brackets and cross bars that secure these links on your cuff. The brackets and cross bars were specially designed for Durand & Company and protected in a patent issued on May 26, 1908. Durand & Company was one of the preeminent maker's of fine cufflinks and jewelry from the mid 1800s until the firm closed in the 1930s. The maker's mark of Durand & Company, a stylized "D", is visible to the left of the "14 K" gold mark. The precious metal mark for platinum ("PLAT") is visible just below the brackets.
