Sapphire and Gold CufflinksSapphire and Gold! |
Ethereal blue sapphires beautifully complemented with richly engraved gold. The Art Deco designer missed no opportunity to elegantly embellish these cufflinks with nested circles, stylized acanthus leaves and milgrained borders. Crafted in 14kt gold, circa 1925.
The backs of the cufflinks are crafted in brightly finished 14kt yellow gold. Please note the sturdy brackets and curved bridge. The slight flare of the bridge helps secure and position these cufflinks on the cuff. The jewelers attention to detail is as evident on the backs of these cufflinks as it is on the fronts.
These cufflinks were created by Ehrlich & Sinnock, makers of fine gold and platinum jewelry in Newark New Jersey in the early 1900s. The firm's maker's mark ("E&S") is stamped at the center of the cross bar along with the gold purity mark ("14K").
