Platinum and Gold!

Some of the finest cufflinks of the 1920s combined the warmth of antique gold with the cool elegance of platinum.  This wonderful pair of antique cufflinks features linearly engraved gold centers surrounded by elegant, scrolling platinum borders.

The cufflinks are beautifully crafted with sturdy ornamental brackets and linked cross bars.  The backs are nicely finished with a smooth mirror-like polish.  It is the small details that make this pair of cufflinks exceptional.

The cross bars are marked "PLAT." and "14K" for the precious metals.  Visible to the right of the precious metal marks is a sideways "W", the makers mark for J.R. Wood & Sons.  J.R. Wood was founded in 1850 and known for creating fine cufflinks, wedding rings and other jewels.
