An elegant, small brooch with four pearls set in recessed niches separated by curved panels of rippling engraved gold framed by white enamel borders. This exquisite jewel is a testament to the ability of jewelry makers in the early 1900s to create small, beautiful things. Created by Riker Bros. in 14kt gold, circa 1910. ![]() The brooch is finely crafted with a sturdy pin stem and early safety clasp securing the jewel when worn. The upper reverse is stamped with the maker's mark of Riker Bros. (an "R" above a scimitar) and the lower reverse is marked "14K" for the purity of the gold. ![]() Riker Bros. was a maker of fine brooches, stickpins and other jewels from the mid 19th century to the mid 20th century.
