Elegant Blue and Gold CufflinksRegal Blue II |
A regal pairing of blue and yellow. The cufflinks feature translucent blue enamels. Beneath the enamels is a beautifully engraved radiating star or sun. A wonderful example of guilloche enameling. The elegant blue centers are surrounded by yellow gold borders with dramatic mille grain edges. Crafted in 14kt gold, circa 1925.
The backs of the cufflinks are well crafted to protect the guilloche enamels and secure the cufflinks on the cuff. Note the thickness of the gold back and the sturdy cross bars and brackets. The backs are as mindfully crafted as the fronts.
The cross bars are stamped with a gold purity mark ("14K") split by the maker's mark of Taylor & Company (the "T" between the "14" and "K"). Taylor & Company was a maker of fine cufflinks and jewelry from the late 1800s to the early 1930s.
