Art Deco Sapphire CufflinksSapphire Elegance |
Concentric ovals ripple outward from sparkling
blue sapphires. An Art Deco border in the box-and-cross
pattern completes the bold design. Finely crafted by
Wordley, Allsopp & Bliss in 14kt white and yellow gold circa
1925. The backs are finely crafted with strong cross bars and sturdy four-footed brackets that secure the cufflinks on the cuff. The yellow gold surfaces are smoothly finished and polished to a mirror-like brilliance - please excuse the shadowy reflections from the camera. Wordley, Allsopp and Bliss was a maker of fine cufflinks, stickpins and other jewels during the early decades of the last century. The crossbars are stamped with the firm's maker's mark ("WAB") and the gold purity mark ("14K").
