Deco Zigzag!

Elegant Art Deco cufflinks with jazzy zigzag enamel borders surrounding mesmerizing centers of concentric circles. In the 1930s dramatic black and white jewels with abstract designs became all the rage - a style known as "Art Moderne". Created by Wordley, Allsopp & Bliss in 14kt gold, circa 1930.

The backs of the cufflinks are as well crafted as the fronts. Note the sturdy cross bars and four-footed brackets that securely hold these links on the cuff. Wordley, Allsopp & Bliss created elegant cufflinks that remain securely on the cuff and are meant to be passed from one generation to the next.

The maker's mark of Wordley, Allsopp and Bliss ("WAB") is found on the cross bars. WAB was a maker of fine gold cufflinks and other jewels during the early decades of the last century. The opposite side of the cross bars are stamped "14K" for the purity of the gold.
