Art Nouveau Diamond CufflinksArt Nouveau Curves |
Sinuous, untamed whiplash curves surround a
sparkling diamond in a star-shaped setting. An elegant tour
de force of Art Nouveau design. These cufflinks were
created by Whiteside & Blank in 14kt gold circa 1900.
Whiteside & Blank created beautifully elegant cufflinks, stickpins and brooches during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The jewelry maker was known for its striking designs and meticulous, uncompromising gold and enamel work.
These cufflinks are finely crafted with sturdy curved "Y" bridges connecting the solid oval tops to oval "bean" backs. The maker's mark of Whiteside & Blank (a crescent pierced by an arrow) is stamped on the inside of the bean backs along with "14K" for the purity of the gold.
