Antique 14kt Gold Cufflinks

Antique 14kt gold cufflinks. (J6501)

Antique Gold!

An elegant pair of 14kt gold cufflinks from the Jazz Age.  Decorated with a milgrained edge and Greek key border,  the center of each top features a snowflake-like element.  These cufflinks epitomize the elegant design of the 1920s.

The backs of the links are well crafted.  Note the sturdy cross bars that connect these double-sided links.  The maker's attention to detail and passion for quality is evident.

The maker's mark ("HALLMARK") is visible on the cross bar connecting the links.  This is the hallmark (literally!) of United Jewelers,  a maker of fine jewelry in New York city during the 1920s and 1930s.  The other side of the cross bar is marked "14K" for the purity of the gold.
