 The backs of the cufflinks, shirt studs and vest buttons are crafted in 14kt rose gold polished to a bright finish. The Carrington attention to detail can be seen in the smooth rounded edges, the sturdy cross bars and contoured brackets that secure the cufflinks on the cuff. (Please excuse the shadowy reflections of the camera.) 
The backs of the cufflinks and vest buttons are stamped with the maker's mark of Carrington & Co. (a squared "C" enclosing "14"). During the first half of the 20th century Carrington was known for excellence in craftsmanship and fine materials commensurate with the elegance of the firm's cufflink designs. Carrington dress and tuxedo sets were retailed by Tiffany & Co. and other carriage-trade jewelers of the day.
