Art Deco Onyx and Pearl CufflinksOnyx and Pearl! |
There is an undeniable elegance to the combination of black onyx and white pearls. These striking Carrington cufflinks feature onyx and pearl tops surrounded by platinum borders with entwined scroll motifs. A wonderful example of Art Deco design! Crafted in platinum and 14kt gold, circa 1930.
Like most Carrington pieces, these cufflinks are beautifully constructed with 14kt yellow gold backs, strong cross bars and sturdy brackets. The yellow gold backs protect the onyx tops and are polished to a mirror-like finish (please excuse the reflections from our camera). The cufflinks are stamped on the reverse with the maker's mark of Carrington & Company and "GOLD&PLAT" for the precious metals.
The Carrington maker's mark is a "C" surrounding a "14" indicating the purity of the gold. Carrington was a maker of fine cufflinks and dress sets from 1900 to 1950. Based in New Jersey, Carrington supplied beautiful 14kt and 18kt gold cufflinks to the finest jewelers of the day. Name: Onyx and Pearls! |
