Elegant Pinstripe CufflinksCarrington Pinstripes |
The understated elegance of finely engraved
pinstripes and polished gold. The eight-sided shape of the
cufflinks adds to the solidity and Art Deco appeal
of the design. Impeccably crafted by Carrington &
Company in 14kt gold, circa 1925.
The backs of these cufflinks are as beautifully crafted as the fronts. Carrington & Company's attention to small details can be seen in the evenness of the finish and the sturdy cross bars and brackets which secure these links on the cuff. The Carrington maker's mark (an angular "C" enclosing "14") is stamped on the reverse of the cufflinks below the brackets. In the late 1890s Charles Lewis Carrington founded the firm which created some of the finest cufflinks and dress sets of the early 20th century. The firm's gold and platinum accessories were retailed at Tiffany & Co. and other carriage-trade jewelers of the day.
