Art Deco Monogrammed CufflinksCarter "G" |
Elegant pinstripes, a boldly engraved letter "G" and the rich antique color of the gold all date these cufflinks to the Art Deco period. They were created by Carter, Gough & Company, a maker of fine gold and platinum cufflinks during the early decades of the last century. Crafted in 14kt gold, circa 1930.
As with all fine jewels, you should examine the backs of cufflinks closely. Note the maker's attention to detail and the sturdy brackets and cross bars that secure these links on your cuff. The cufflinks are beautifully crafted and finished with a bright polish. The maker's mark for Carter, Gough & Co., an arrowhead surrounding a small "C", is visible on the cross bar just to the right of the precious metal mark ("14K"). Carter, Gough was one of the leading makers of fine cufflinks, stickpins, brooches and other jewels during the early 20th century. Name: Carter "G"
