Art Deco Diamond CufflinksDiamond Jazz |
Elegant Art Deco quatrefoil cufflinks with
finely engraved centers raised on tiered sides. Along the
edges "epaulets" cascade downward and on one side a small
diamond adds to the elegant sparkle. Created by Taylor
& Co. in 14kt white and yellow gold, circa 1925.
The backs of the cufflinks are as finely crafted as the fronts. Note the sturdy thickness of the edges and the strong brackets and cross bars that secure the cufflinks on the cuff. These cufflinks are beautifully made and with a little care will survive the next one hundred years as well as they have survived the past one hundred.
The cross bars are stamped with the maker's mark of Taylor & Company - a draftsman's T-square flanked by "14" and "K". Taylor & Company was founded by John N. Taylor in 1906 and created finely crafted, beautifully designed cufflinks and other jewels for about 30 years.
