Elegant cufflinks intricately engraved with repeated waves reminiscent of moire silk. The beautifully engraved centers are surrounded by reeded borders bound with ribbon ties. Crafted in 14kt gold, circa 1900.
 The engraved moire pattern and rich patina of the antique gold give these cufflinks a shimmering, almost iridescent appearance. The creator of these cufflinks beautifully explored the sculptural and optical possibilities of finely worked gold. A silent tribute to the artistry of the cufflink makers of a hundred years ago.
 The backs of the cufflinks are as beautifully crafted as the fronts. The cufflinks have a fixed, straight bridge that is hinged at one end - a design invented to ease the placement of the cufflinks through a button hole. The backs are marked "14K" for the purity of the gold.
