Art Deco Diamond CufflinksRacing Comets! |
Art Deco comets streaking across the night sky. These cufflinks sparkle with diamonds and the exuberance of the Jazz Age. They reflect the Art Deco passion for speed, elegant geometry and abstract design. Crafted in 14kt gold, circa 1925.
The backs of the cufflinks are beautifully crafted in yellow gold and polished to a mirror-like finish. Please excuse the faint reflections from my camera. Sturdy brackets and crossbars secure these links on the cuff.
The cross bars are signed with the maker's mark of L. Fritschze & Company - an "F" inside an banner-shape cartouche. To the left of the maker's mark is a precious metal mark ("14K") indicating the purity of the gold. L. Fritschze created fine gold cufflinks with wonderfully imaginative designs during the Art Deco period.
