Antique 14kt Gold CufflinksGolden Sunburst! |
A vibrant pair of golden cufflinks elegantly decorated with concentric circles, hand-engraved abstract designs and milgrained rims. The design is somewhat reminiscent of the Aztec Sun calendar. These cufflinks epitomize the abstract, often ethnographically inspired, design of the late 1930s and 1940s.
The backs of the cufflinks are as well constructed, as the fronts. Note the sturdy cross bars and brackets that secure the cufflinks on your cuff. The backs are polished to a mirror-like finish. Please excuse the reflections from our camera.
The gold mark (14K), as well as the maker's mark (E & S), are visible on the cross bar. "E & S" is the maker's mark for Ehrlich & Sinnock, a maker of fine jewelry in Newark, New Jersey during the first half of the last century.
