Elegant Art Deco CufflinksFestive Garlands
|
Festive garlands and small, radiant stars are
framed by borders of twining foliate scrolls. The scroll
borders bring to mind streamers falling from the ceiling at a
party. The ideal cufflinks for any important
celebration! Created by Jacob Hookaylo in 14kt gold,
circa 1925.
The craftsmanship of the Hookaylo workshop is seen on the backs of these cufflinks. Note the distinctive wing-form bridge, a Hookaylo signature, and the sturdy brackets that secure these cufflinks on the cuff.
Jacob Hookaylo was a gifted jeweler who emigrated from Russia in the early 1900s and opened a workshop in northern New Jersey. During the 1920s and 1930s his workshop created beautifully engraved cufflinks that are miniature works of art in the Art Deco style. Name: Festive Garlands |
