Art Deco CufflinksGold and Black |
Finely engraved centers of intertwining circles
and geometric motifs surrounded by dramatic black enamel
borders. These mesmerizing cufflinks are an example of the
early Art Deco fascination with rich, intricately decorated
surfaces. Created by Kohn and Co. in 14kt gold, circa
1925. These cufflinks are well with sturdy cross bars and brackets securing the cufflinks on the cuff. The edges are slightly rounded and the backs polished to a bright finish. Please excuse the whispery shadows from the camera.
The maker's mark of Kohn & Company (a "cone" lying on its side above "14K") is stamped on the cross bars. Kohn & Co. was a maker of cufflinks and other fine jewels during the early decades of the 20th century. Name: Gold and Black |
