Antique White Gold CufflinksWinter Rose! |
Elegant white gold cufflinks with intricately engine-turned centers that are reminiscent of the overlapping petals of a blooming rose. The richly engraved white gold surfaces give these cufflinks a frosty, wintery appearance. Crafted in 14kt white and yellow gold, circa 1920.
Keeping with the wintery theme the backs of the cufflinks are engraved "12-25-19" and record the initials of the original owner ("S.C.F."). Obviously S.C.F. had a very good Christmas in 1919. The backs are crafted in 14kt yellow gold and polished to a bright finish. (Please excuse the reflections from our camera.) The cufflinks are connected with sturdy cross bars and brackets.
The cross bars are marked "14K" for the purity of the gold. Beneath the gold mark is the maker's mark for Wm. Link & Co. Based in Newark, New Jersey, the firm created fine gold and sterling jewels and accessories from the 1870s until the early 1930s. Name: Winter Rose!
