Gold and Blue Enamel CufflinksBlue and Gold II |
Shimmering gold borders with blue enamel accents surround beautifully engraved golden sunbursts. The marriage of rich engraving, antique gold and blue enamel accents give these cufflinks a regal elegance. Crafted in 10kt gold, circa 1925.
The cufflinks are well constructed with brightly polished gold backs, sturdy brackets and strong cross bars. The cross bars are stamped with the maker's mark for Ostby & Barton ("OB") and "10K" for the purity of the gold.
Ostby & Barton was a maker of fine cufflinks and other jewels based in Providence, Rhode Island. Founded by Englehart Ostby and Nathan Barton in 1879, the firm remained in operation until the mid 20th century. At one time it was the largest manufacturer of rings in the world. Name: Blue and Gold II
