Elegant Art Deco CufflinksBlack and White |
White gold centers with finely engraved
pinstripes framed by bold, geometric end designs
highlighted in black enamel . These elegant cufflinks were
created by Heidell & Trow in 14kt white gold circa 1925. The white gold backs are well crafted and polished to a smooth, even finish. Gently rounded edges ease the passage of the cufflinks through a button hole, while sturdy cross bars and distinctive guttered brackets secure the cufflinks on the cuff. The cross bars are stamped with the maker's mark of Heidell & Trow (an "H" surmounted by a "T"). During the Art Deco era Heidell & Trow created distinctive cufflinks often with finely engraved designs. Beneath the maker's mark "14" is stamped for the purity of the gold.
In the late 1920s Art Deco design balanced its early passion for bold, vibrant colors and fluid lines with a new aesthetic of stark black and white contrasts and bold geometric designs. These elegant cufflinks are a striking example of the sophisticated new look. Name: Black and White
