Elegant Radiating CufflinksBig Bang II |
The white gold tops of these cufflinks are beautifully engraved with a radiating pattern that explodes like a silvery firework in the night sky - hence the name "Big Bang". The engraved pattern was created by an exacting method known as "engine turning". The detail and depth of the engraving gives these cufflinks a beautiful shimmering appearence. Crafted in 14kt gold, circa 1925.
The backs of the cufflinks are as well crafted as the fronts. Note the sturdy cross bars and brackets that secure the cufflinks. The backs are crafted in 14kt yellow gold and polished to a mirror-like finish. Please excuse the dark reflections from my camera.
The cross bars are stamped with a maker's mark, "T" over "H". The "TH" maker's mark has not been identified, but I believe it is related to Irving Heidelsheimer, a maker of fine cufflinks during the early 1900s. Beneath the maker's mark is "14" for the purity of the gold. Name: Big Bang II
