Art Deco Black and Gold CufflinksArt Deco Ovals! |
Striking Art Deco cufflinks with a variety of design motifs ranging from the hypnotic concentric circles in the oval centers to the dramatic black enamel accents just inside gold dimpled borders. Crafted in 14kt gold, circa 1925.
The backs of the cufflinks are as beautifully crafted as the fronts. Note the sturdy cross bars and brackets which secure the cufflinks. One side of the cross bars is marked "14K" for the purity of the gold.
The opposite side of the cross bars displays the maker's mark of Wordley, Allsopp and Bliss. Wordley, Allsopp and Bliss was a maker of fine jewelry and cufflinks based in Newark, New Jersey during the early decades of the last century. The firm created many striking pairs during the Art Deco era.
