| The Art Deco era was a time of striking,
elegant design. This dress set with pearl and
mother-of-pearl centers and stylized bell-flower borders
beautifully captures the spirit of the age. Crafted in
14kt gold, circa 1930. |

Complementing the cufflinks are three shirt studs. Like the cufflinks, the studs are crafted in 14kt gold with mother-of-pearl and pearl centers surrounded by elegant bell-flower borders.  As with all fine jewels, you should closely examine antique cufflinks from every direction. The backs of these cufflinks and shirt studs are beautifully crafted in 14kt yellow gold. You can see the maker's attention to detail in the sturdy brackets and cross bars that secure the links Please excuse the reflections from my camera.
 The backs of the cufflinks and shirt studs are stamped "14K" for the purity of the gold and with a small acorn as the maker's mark. From the design and construction of the cufflinks I believe this dress set was created by Carter, Gough & Company. The small acorn may have been an alternative mark of the firm.
