| The shimmering glow of moonstones and cool
brilliance of platinum. This elegant dress set (comprising
cufflinks, shirt studs and vest buttons) is the perfect marriage
of Art Deco sophistication and moonlit romance. Created by
Carrington & Company in 14kt gold and platinum, circa 1925.
 Complementing the cufflinks are three shirt studs and four
vest buttons set with round cabochon moonstones in platinum
bezels. The complete dress set (9 pieces) is in a fitted
Tiffany & Co. case (photo below).
The backs of the cufflinks, shirt studs and vest buttons are finely crafted in 14kt gold and stamped with the maker's mark and precious metal marks of Carrington & Company. Carrington was one of the foremost makers of elegant cufflinks and dress sets during the early 20th century. The firm was renowned for its elegant designs, impeccable craftsmanship and fine materials.
 The Carrington & Company maker's mark is a squared "C"
enclosing "14". "GOLD&PLAT" for the precious metal is
stamped at the opposite end

The dress set comes in an original Tiffany & Co. case
from the early 20th century. The case is covered in
maroon leather and lined with white silk. The inside of
the lid is signed "Tiffany & Co./New York/Paris London"
and the underside of the case is blind stamped
"Tiffany&Co." beneath the clasp. Carrington & Company was one of the preeminent makers of fine dress sets and cufflinks during the first half of the 20th century. The firm was renowned for its elegant designs, exquisite materials and impeccable craftsmanship.
