Art Deco Pinstripe CufflinksGolden Pinstripes! |
Art Deco cufflinks with golden pinstripes alternating with brightly polished bands of white gold. An elegant example of the geometric pinstripe designs of the later Art Deco period. Crafted in white and yellow 14kt gold, circa 1930.
As with all fine jewels, you should closely examine the unseen backs of cufflinks. The backs of these cufflinks are beautifully crafted in 14kt yellow gold with a mirror-like finish. Note the sturdy cross bars and brackets which secure the links on the cuff.
The cross bars are stamped with the maker's mark ("R") of Enos Richardson & Company (later Richardson Manufacturing Company) and "14K" for the purity of the gold. Founded in 1840, Enos Richardson & Company was one of the earliest makers of fine jewelry in the United States. The firm created fine cufflinks and other gentlemen's accessories until about 1950.
