Elegant Blue and Gold CufflinksBlue Fireworks |
Shimmering blue enamels set in finely crafted
Art Deco cufflinks with step tiered sides and milgrained edges.
Beneath the blue enamels finely engraved starbursts "explode"
like fireworks in a chilly winter sky. These elegant cufflinks
were created by Taylor & Co. in 14kt gold circa 1925. The backs of these cufflinks are as carefully crafted and designed as the fronts. Note the thickness of the edges that help protect the guilloche enamels and the sturdy brackets and cross bars that secure the cufflinks on the cuff. The maker of these cufflinks, Taylor & Company, was known for crisp, fine details and precise execution of its designs.
The cross bars are stamped with the maker's mark of the Taylor & Company - a draftsman's T-square - flanked by "14" and "K" for the purity of the gold. The firm was founded by John N. Taylor in 1906 and created elegant cufflinks and other jewels into the 1930s. Name: Blue Fireworks
