Amethyst and Scrolls  A rich amethyst set in a finely sculpted wreath of laurel leaves and curling scrolls.  Beneath the amethyst a small diamond sparkles.  This elegant jewel was created by Hans Brassler in 14kt gold, circa 1910.

Fox Terrier  An elegant Victorian stickpin with a reverse intaglio ("Essex crystal") of an alert fox terrier.  The finely sculpted intaglio beautifully captures the terrier's expression of focused determination.  Crafted in 14kt gold, circa 1880.  Cost:  $775
